1948 Shri Sewa Ram Ji founded Tobacco Business

1982 to 1989 (PAPER INDUSTRY)

1988 – 2008  ( INDUCTION FURNACE IN UP)

1992 –Ongoing (Dairy Industry)

2003 – MOU with Govt of Odhisa for establishing an integrated steel plant having capacity 0.4 MTPA in Jharsuguda District.

2003 –  Creamy Foods Ltd was established in Khurja U.P. 

2020 – Acquisition of Concast Steel and Power Limited through NCLT

SMC Power Generation Ltd, was incorporated in the year 2000 for establishment of  an integrated Steel Plant, which was established in the year 2004, under an MOU with the state Govt at Jharsuguda, Odisha. SMC Power has enjoyed a formidable position, being one of the first entrants in Odhisa’s Steel industry. Despite Industry facing headwinds in the past, the SMC has remained a profitable enterprise since inception.

In January 2020, we have acquired an integrated Steel Plant through NCLT in liquidation process which was formerly known as Concast Steel and Power Limited. 8 months later we started  production in this unit. Now our consolidated steel manufacturing capacity is as follows

Our turnover of entire Steel Division for the FY 21-22 was Rs 1841 Crores and for the FY 22-23 is

Rs 2042 Crores ( Estimate) .

The company envisage to create a world class manufacturing facility with latest technology to produce superior products across all categories. The manufacturing facility has been operating at more than 90% capacity since last 3 years, with a progressive EBITDA throughout these years. The company is determined to cross the industry benchmarks with its committed workforce. The company has been a leading long products supplier in the country. Being strategically located, it can easily cater to markets across North, South, East and Central India. The company markets its products under the brand name of SMC & Majboot in 12 States. Having a strong retail network, the company’s products enjoy the confidence of its customers. Its approach of product to partnership, resonates with the company’s culture of taking all stakeholders together.
